Definitions and key terms

To help explain things as clearly as possible in this Privacy Policy, every time any of these terms are referenced, are strictly defined as:

Duration of Data Retention and Deletion

Personal data collected is retained indefinitely to fulfill the primary purpose of our application. We do not automatically delete data; however, if a customer wishes their data to be deleted, they can request it, and Melonhelp will proceed to remove all information associated with said customer. Collection, Management, and Storage of Third-party Data

We collect personal data from users provided by Slack, which includes email, name, and avatar. Additionally, we gather messages shared by Slack threads that convert into tickets. It's essential to understand that only ticket messages are sent to ChatGPT unless an agent intervenes in the conversation. All messages are stored encrypted in our database to ensure their security and confidentiality.

The collected data is stored on servers provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS), ensuring the information is protected with the highest security standards.

Third Parties and Sharing Information

To provide specific functionalities, such as ticket processing, we use ChatGPT. It's crucial to understand that only ticket messages are shared with ChatGPT and only when no agent intervenes. We ensure any third party we share information with adheres to appropriate privacy and security standards.

Information Automatically Collected

When you visit or use our platform, certain information, like your IP address and/or browser and device characteristics, is automatically collected. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may provide insights regarding the device you use, the browser version, and other technical data. Such data is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our platform and for internal analytics and reporting purposes.
